I may be able to help with the age. I have a Baldwin Serial number 1324731, Style 2015C. It is a Baldwin console, oak wood, deluxe 88 note piano purchased in April of 1983 for approx. $2,900.00. At the time of purchase I was living in Gillette, Wyoming and had purchased it from Weber Piano & Organ Company.

Baldwin built pianos under the names Hamilton, Howard, Sargent, Winton, Chickering, Wurlitzer and even the Bechstein Piano. The 1921 Winton (Baldwin) Upright Piano, was a famous family piano.

I bought a Baldwin piano some years ago. I had it tuned and some strings replaced. I found out the piano was not a Baldwin but a Hamilton (number 368134). No where on the piano did it state (Hamilton). WHY? What was the difference?

It was made in 1979 according to the pierce piano atlas. Baldwin could confirm this. They are now owned by the Gibson guitar company.
