Actually Africans follow other religions. The 2 main religions of the African cultures are Christainity and Islam. I hope I answered your question and I'm sorry that I can't explain with high details.
Most ethnic religions lack a clear perception of how the universe came to be, as they focus more on our current state of being and improving it as is. Universalizing religions tend to be theistic, so, naturally, they believe that their God has created everything. Although this answer is a bit broad for the given subject, i hope it was some help.
Deities, rituals, and congregations tend to be common to most traditions.

A self-centered person is often referred to as narcissistic or egocentric. They tend to focus primarily on themselves and their own needs, often lacking empathy or consideration for others.
The same as hers, though the focus tend to be more about the football.
Because certain people believe in certain things...?
No. The Nation of Islam is an African-American Religion, not a derivative of Islam.Definition of Post-Islamic ReligionPost-Islamic Religions are typically defined as religions that developed as outgrowths of Islam that changed and developed one or more of the core teachings of Islam to the point where they are often considered heresy by mainstream Muslims and will often declare themselves as a distinct faith outside of Islam. However, these religions share most of Islam's fundamental teachings and consider the Qur'an a holy book. Since these religions tend to have few adherents and those adherents stay primarily in the Middle East, they are often overlooked by people who talk about the five major religions: Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. Even combined, they represent less than 25 million people. The Post-Islamic Faiths include Baha'i, Druze, Azali, Yezidi, Yarsan, Alawite, Alevi, and Ahmadiyya. Some of these religions are occasionally considered Islamic, especially the latter three, but more often they are not.Nation of IslamThe Nation of Islam is not a Post-Islamic Religion, but an African-American religion. The African-American faiths strike a common tone, typically of black supremacy either by birth or by merit and use the texts of pre-existent religions to buttress those claims. This is visible in the Black Israelite Churches, Rastafarianism, and the Nation of Islam. It is for this reason that these faiths bear little in common with the non-African-American faiths that use the same holy texts.

From an etymological perspective, because both Islam and Christianity are Abrahamic religions. All Abrahamic religions can trace their roots/origins to the area now know as the middle east (which does include North Africa in a cultural sense). Abrahamic meaning practiced by the decendants of Abraham who was a Jew or identifying with whatever spiritual traditions are associated with Abraham, as such, Judaism is the original Abrahamic religion and both Christianity and Islam are offshoots of Judaism. Traditional African religins (sans North Africa) tend to be animist or ancestor worship. Where animistic religions (such as Voudoun, Candomble, Santeria etc) may contain polytheistic belief systems based on worship of ancestors, animals and various other spirit forms, the Abrahamic religions stress monotheism as the basic tenet of the faith. However, in a real world sense, Christianity and Islam are African religions due to colonialism and later missionaries. Islam is practiced almost exclusively in the North African countries of Morroco, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan and Western Sahara. Below the Sahara Christianity is almost exclusively practiced, with about 15% of the entire African population practicing something else.
