You must remove the fuel tank as it is located on top and inside the tank, unless you can remove it without dropping the tank.

Remove the right cover below the fuel tank and you get to the battery.
It is a real bear. I just changed the fuel pump by dropping the fuel tank. Found out afterwards, it would be far easier to remove the truck's bed.

Remove the mounting bolt and washer securing the secondary fuel tank to the frame. 10. Remove the secondary fuel tank from the frame.

To replace the fuel pump on your 1995 Buick LeSabre, you must remove the fuel tank because that is where the pump is located.
Unless there is an access panel inside the vehicle above the fuel pump you must drop the fuel tank. The exception is a pickup where you can remove the bed.
