Valium has a much-longer half life than opiates, so it stays in your system much longer (up to several weeks). Oxycontin, on the other hand, is usually out of your system in just a few days.

It all depends on your metabolism, usage, etc.

Oxycodone is an opiate, not a benzodiazepine. If you are running a drug testing program that looks for morphine, which codeine and heroin metabolize to, oxycodone won't show up at all. The problem is, if the machine is set up to look for opiates and not specifically morphine (and you won't know if they are--drug testing labs optimize their profiles on a regular basis to better serve their customers) you will fail for opiates if you take oxycodone.

No Oxycontin is an opiate. Opiates in most cases are used for pain relief. A "Benzo" is mostly used for anxiety and/or panic attacks. Examples of a "benzo" are xanax, Ativan, and valium.
