Needs an ignition module
Why the defrost may not work in a 1993 Chevy Caprice Classic could be because the heating core is out.

That usually means the engine is lean. Could be a vacuum leak.
An intermittent miss in a 94 Caprice could be something in the ignition system. Check the plug wires and ignition coil to start with.
You could look for Hypertech products, which are distributed by Autozone, Advance, and O'Reilly's.
If you get a Caprice with posi they aren't to bad in bad conditions, but they are still a car and not equipped with 4 wheel drive. Chevy Caprice's had decent ground clearance comppared to other cars though which could perhaps allow them to travel through muddier conditions.

chances are the radiator. water pump possibly. anything to do with the thermostat housing. the housing itself or the regulator.

In the 1993 Chevy Caprice there is a brake sender located inside the steering column where the brake pedal is attached. Perhaps the brake lights are not working because of this, when a person hits the brakes. There could also be a fuse blown or a broken or shorted wire.
Crack in intake or exhust, or belt glazing- Check all the intake and exhust bolts.
