AIDS isn't transferred, but the HIV virus can be.

The virus is caught by the exchange of body fluids with someone who is already carrying the HIV virus.

That virus, if left unchecked, will eventually lead to a person developing the AIDS condition.

The name comes from means Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome.

Basically the virus has made your immune system so weak that a whole bunch of diesases(which you would normally be able to fight off) will move right in and eventually kill you.

How does aids enter the body?

You can NOT feel HIV or AIDS in the body. A person can look and feel perfectly healthy for years and you won't be able to tell if that person has HIV or AIDS. If you have been sexually active or shared needles from doing drugs, you may want to get an HIV test done. It's best to get tested to start treatment so that the virus doesn't form into AIDS.

What virus causes AIDS?

The virus that causes AIDS is HIV(Human Immunodeficiency Virus) HIV infects and affects the body's key component of immunity which is the T-cell This HIV enters the host T-cell and replicates its RNA( Ribonucleic acid ) into the body's DNA( Deoxyribonucleic acid) leading to the body to produce more HIV virus cell as the T-cell virus replicates and the HIV virus renders the T-cell useless as they try to fight of diseases or even the common flu HIV progresses to AIDS when the T-cell count in the body drops below 200 or any one of the 26 opportunistic conditions which does not occur in healthy people
