Being cordial is simply minding your manners around someone you dislike. Being a gentleman is never being a doormat. This is very adult and proper.

However, by holding on to feelings for someone who has made it clear that she is not interested, you are behaving a bit pitifully. Go out and meet another girl or spend time with a hobby. If you keep yourself occupied with worthwhile fulfilling things then you may find yourself able to like this girl as a friend instead of simply being polite.
