Amelia Earhart was born on 24 July 1897 in Atchison, Kansas. Amelia Earhart was 10 years old when she saw her first airplane; she saw it at the Kansas state fair. She wasn't really impressed. It wasn't until Earhart attended a stunt-flying show, almost a decade later, that she became seriously interested in aircraft. A pilot spotted Amelia Earhart and her friend, who were watching from an separate area, and dove at them. As the plane *swooped* by, something inside her awoke. On December 28, 1920, pilot Frank Hawks gave her a ride that would change her life that's when she knew she could fly.

The real answer is unknown as yet. The facts are she and Fred Noonan disappeared over the Pacific Ocean. -Everything else is pure speculation.

1.Amelia Earheart was the first women to fly across the Atlantic Ocean alone. 2.She disappeared mysteriously, so people think she ran out of oil in the middle of the ocean and crashed. 3. Nobody ever saw Amelia Earheart again after she attempted to fly around the world. :\

Nobody knows what happened to Amelia Earhart or how she got lost, but the facts seem to point to an island called Nikumaroro Island (formerly known as Gardner Island). apparently this is somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, near Howland Island, she may have survived as a castaway on this uninhabitated island, because a skeleton and some artifacts were found.

She was born on 24 July 1897, she grew up in Kansas, then Des Moines . She was an avid pilot after 1920. She created many solo flying records. She died (or at least disappeared ) just a few days short of her 40th birthday.

one thing is that she was the first women that flu across the Atlantic. She also broke the women's altitude record. She came in third in the women's air derby. She changed the hole world by showing them that girls can do the same things that guys can. Well I'm only saying four but there's your answer

she loved ice cream she had black hair and she didn't know how to fly a plane

1. First woman to fly across the Atlantic alone on May 20-21, 1932 2. Was actively involved in efforts to open aviation to women and end male domination in the new field. 3. Sought to fly around the world, but after completing 2/3 of the distance, her plane vanished in the South Pacific

Look at the facts, Amelia was born in l897 she did not begin seriously flying until the late twenties- shall we say maybe l926 on a lesson stage (?) Her flying career began when she was, in her late twenties or early thirties, no teen idol stuff here. You are barking up the wrong tree. she was employed as a nurses aide at a Veteran"s Hospital in the World War I period, when she was in her early twenties- not exactly the precocious teenager Hot-rod type. The Parental Consent angle, owing to her age as an adult, did not come up.

she had a sister named muriel, her grandfather on her mothers side was JUDGE Alfred gideous Otis, her mother and father met at a formal ball, she married her agent, she got put on ciggarete ads and got false feed back, she did war nurse duty, she attempted to fly around the world but didnt succeed and the last place she was seen was japan, and her first plane was the canary wich had stalling issues.

She had a sister named Muriel. Her grandfather on her mothers side was Judge Alfred Gideon Otis She married her agent, George P. Putnam. She did war nurse duty. She attempted to fly around the world but didn't succeed and the last place she was seen was Lae, New Guinea. The public saw her as a brilliant pilot, but other pilots knew she was a good, workaday pilot - but not really a great one.

He was president when the Empire state Building opened when Al capone got convicted of tax evasion and when Amelia Earheart flew (more facts are on pbs.org)

First of all one does not drive an airplane, one Pilots the craft. steering is involved- as with the maritime use of Pilot ( e.g. Harbor Pilot). the first US licensed woman airplane pilot ( there were older balloon and blimp operators)- was Harriet Quimby in l9ll-l2. There were a number of aviatrixes ( women pilots) active before world war I largely on the exhibition circuit- like Carnivals and air shows- Amelia was by no means the first woman airplane pilot- but was the first one to cross the Atlantic- first as an observer ( The Friendship flight) later solo in l932. One Gal across the big water- and so on. She was the first Female pilot to fly the Pacific- in l935. okay. get the facts right.

This is an opinion type question. My opinion: NO. It is highly unlikely that Amelia was engaged in a secret mission for the United States on the day her aircraft was lost in the Pacific Ocean. This particular theory has no real basis in facts or actual practices at the time. At that time, the US government & military was just not that interested in Japanese activities & bases in that part of the Pacific Ocean. From an intelligence and military perspective, the US military and trained agents would have been much better trained, equipped, & suited for a secret mission than Amelia. Remember Amelia's around-the-world flight was not secret. It was being reported on by newspapers & radio stations. This would be like sending Brittany Spears on a "secret" mission to spy on China during her world tour.

It was a Kinner Airster. It was built at the field she learned to fly. It was a biplane. It was yellow. It was 21 feet long. It had wingspan of 28 feet. It had a wooden propellor. It had a 65 hp engine. The engine had 3 cylinders. The engine was a Lawrance L5 . It had 2 seats. It's max speed was 85 mph. It's ceiling was 14,000 ft. Amelia created her first record by flying it to that height.

Some facts about facts are:To be a fact, the statement must be trueFacts are not opinions.Facts can be verified as true.
