All instruments cause air to vibrate. In fact sound itself is the vibration of air. Therefore percussion, wind, string and brass are all causing air to vibrate. In turn these vibrations are detected by the ear drum.
There are numerous instruments which create sound by causing air to vibrate. They include all instruments in the brass and the woodwind families.
In reality, however, all instruments create sound through the vibration of air. the string family, for example, relies upon the air vibrating within the sound box of the instrument.

When you play a saxophone, or any reed instrument, the reed vibrates, causing pulsing of the air you are breathing into the instrument. That causes the air in the instrument to also vibrate. Resonance determines frequency and timbre.
