Could be the intake manifold gaskets are leaking.
There SHOULD only be oil inside the valve covers. If they leak coolant you have a serious problem.
Oil/antifreeze mix is usually caused by head gasket leaks or valve cover gasket leaks.
Not antifreeze, that is special oil for the ac compressor with some dye in it to help trace refrigerant leaks.
Only when work has been done or when any leaks appear
Valve covers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! back of the intake and oil sinding unites
When running the air conditioner, there might be a small leak of fluid on the 2000 Alero after it is parked. This is normal as it is only the overflow valve being released. Always check the antifreeze level before operating the vehicle in the summer to prevent low antifreeze warnings.
On the top of the head/heads. The valve covers, cover the valve train.
To change the antifreeze in a 2006 Pontiac Vibe, start by ensuring the engine is cool and then remove the radiator cap. Place a drain pan under the radiator, open the drain valve, and allow the old antifreeze to completely drain out. Close the drain valve, then fill the radiator with a mixture of new antifreeze and water (typically a 50/50 ratio). Finally, run the engine until it reaches operating temperature, check for leaks, and top off the coolant as needed.
It leaks only when it runs? Or when it's hot? Oil Pan gasket needs to be replaced, or could be the valve cover gaskets. Replace the pan first, the valve covers are a pain.
As long as you make it so that it is airtight and leaks absolutly no oil not even a millionth of a drop. Be careful.
The block and valve covers were black. The block and valve covers were black.
No, it will not cause oil leaks.
