Try using a bomb, any type should do :D Edit: This cannot be done while you are saving her at the beginning as you do not have bombs. You have to come back later in the game.

Nowhere in any Zelda game does Link die in the story. The only way he dies is when you make him lose all his hearts.

Does Zelda Twilight Princess have any romance?
Kind of... Link and Ilia. All they do is look at each other with that, "(sigh) I like you alot" but near the end of the game, before Link and Zelda shoot arrows of light at Gannondorf, Zelda talks to Link, and Link's expression is like, "Pretty Princess talking to me!" or "Pretty lady said my name." the look on his face is funny....LOL! happy gameing! ;)
