Any idea what would cause a heavy pain in the chest area near the heart?

**I asked this question ** --> I don't ever feel dizzy unless I stand up really quickly which I think is normal. I am only sweaty when it is hot and I think I am on average tired, hungry and thirsty at the usual times....this started sort of a year ago. I used to clean houses and when I vacuumed I thought I would get the pain in my chest from shoving a vacuum around all day. The pains sort of came and went. It was nothing major but this past week it has come back (and I'm not cleaning houses anymore or pushing vacuums) It just feels like a heavy pain right in the middle of my chest. I think that is close to the heart. Sometimes I feel like I need to breathe hard but when I do breathe hard it hurts again OR it hurts when I turn suddenly...any ideas anybody? (Thanks for your input to whoever replied above)
*same person from the top* no problem. Well I am no doctor (though I do want to be one) but I would say you need to take it slow for a while. Do you smoke? If so you may want to slow down or quit your intake altogether. I would call a real doctor though.
**haha no smoking at all, never even tried it. I know I should see a doctor but I don't have one and I'm not a huge fan of walk in clinics...but I suppose I should go**
well you probably should, but don't let me be the one to decide for you. I am sure money is tight in your household (it sure is in mine!) and I would not want you to waste a trip.
It really is your decision though. (don't worry i don't like walk in clinics either)
I have the same problem don't sleep well and sometimes my heart starts beating very fast (i mean like 120-130 is my pulse) and i have a hard time breathing when that happens and also i can get dizzy just by walking normally or doing other normal activities. The chest pain is usually around where my heart is and in the center of my chest and i have it constantly (multiple times a day and every day). Does anyone know what this could be?
It sounds like what you have it worse than mine. I think you should go to a doctor or a walk in clinic. I STILL need to go. I went on Sunday but they were closed. Now I have avoided it. Perhaps I will go this week. If anybody has any answers at all, it would be helpful, thanks everybody for your contributions
