Smith and Wesson Model No. 2
Depends on the model
Take it to a gunsmith.
50-500 depending on specifics.
All my reference material shows that Smith and wesson never made a bobbed hammer model 19.It would seem that someone had a gunsmith bob the hammer, hence a DAO revolver.
Smith & Wesson Model 29 - .44 Magnum
A Smithh and Wesson model 19-2 revolver with a 6 barrel with Target sights and hammer can range in price from $50.00 to over $200.00.
The smith and Wesson model 27-2 was made from 1962-1981.If you have a letter N prefix to the serial number, then this was started in the year 1969.If your Smith and Wesson has the target trigger, target hammer, and a partridge front sight on a 6",or 8-3/8" barrel and Goncalo Alves grips then thase were introduced in 1975.
Model name = Bodyguard; 5 shots, shrouded hammer, 38 Spl
The Smith and Wesson model 27-2 denotes that there was a second engineering change to the original model 27.The second change indicates that Smith and Wesson changed the cylinder stop, and eliminated the trigger guard screw.
Someone modified it.
I can say that the Smith and Wesson model 27-2 started having a N prefix to the serial number in 1969.These model 27-2 were made until 1981,when the model 27-3 began production. If your model 27-2 has the target trigger, target hammer, partridge type front sight on a 6in barrel and Goncalo Alves grips then these were started in 1975.
