Are 'The Ten Black Kings' rifles supposedly made by Winchester fact or myth?

Only in a book.

Stephen Hunter's book "Point of Impact" mentions them. This is the only reference I've heard.

It's also mentioned in the book "Shooter". So far, the only place I've found it.

Not Necessarily, kinda.

It could also be based on an actual Winchester Model 21 shotgun called the King Buck that was made and engraved after the death of King Buck, a National Field Trial winning black lab owned by John Olin of Winchester. King Buck was the only dog ever featured on a federal duck stamp. The gun is a magnificent firearm and is on display at the NRA's National Firearms Museum.
