CEU's are required for Perfusionists once they have taken the two part certification exam. As a practicing perfusionist it is your responsibility to maintain your certification by completing 45 credit hours of continuing education every three years. There is an additional clinical activity component to maintain certification. The American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion oversees this process.
