no cfc's are not in use anymore because they damage the enviroment.
CFCs were the compressed gas that was used as "spring" to push the can contents out of the container. CFCs have been replaced with HCFCs as a consequence of the Montreal Protocol.
CFC's are used now also. they are used as coolants.
yes
Yes, CFC's are used in sprays. They are used in aerosols too.
CFCs have been replaced by HCFC swhich have less environmental impact. Propane , nitrogen, and air are now routinely used in many applications where CFCs were used as propellants in aerosol and refrigerant containers. Freon (a fire fighting chemical) is still widely used but with stricter controls on losses in non fire situations.
It was used in refrigirators.
CFC's are produced in refrigerants. They are used for cooling.
The Montreal protocol bans CFC's from modern countries and was signed on Sept. 16, 1987. Is was still being made and used as of this year in some countries.
In order to protect the ozone layer, we must curb the use of CFCs. IF theses CFcs are not used, the ozone layer will replenish itself.
CFCs are neither soluble in water or reactive with it. Rain has no impact on CFCs
Its used in the compressors of refrigerators and air- conditioners
Probably not. There may be some small companies in developing countries still using CFCs but all major countries have phased them out by the end of last century. Hairsprays have other chemicals which may not be good for the atmosphere either. We may have to wait and see.
