Even though production was discontinued, there hasn't been a corresponding spike in value. There are still millions and millions of Canadian pennies in existence.

Inflation has rendered them obsolete, and they cost more than face value to produce. Credit card transactions still pay exact amounts, but cash transactions round up or down to the nearest five cents.

How much is a Canadian penny worth made in 1867?

Canadian pennies were made of copper. According to the Canadian Mint, pennies issued in 1967 were made of 98% copper, 0.5% tin, 1.5% zinc. If you have one made of anything else, then it isn't a legal penny. The 1967 coin in question should have a dove on the face side and the Queen on the reverse. It was issued for Canada's 100 birthday. No other designs were issued for 1967. So many were issued, they never really went up in value. They are generally just face value unless it's in uncirculated condition or there is a special minting mark. An uncirculated coin will be about .75 cents.

Why was the Canadian penny discontinued?

The Canadian penny was discontinued because rising inflation made it financially unfeasable to continue to circulate a coin that cost more to mint than its' value. So few people use pennies (most end up 'hoarded' at home in a change jar) in their day-to-day spending that the Canadian Mint was having to up production to compensate for those that disappeared from circulation. Distribution of the penny ended in February of 2013, though they are still accepted as legal tender.

What is the value of a Australian 2 up penny?

"Two up" is a game of chance played by tossing two pennies up into the air. The pennies used were not specially manufactured for the purpose of playing "Two up". A lot of Australian Souvenir shops sell "Two up" pennies complete with the wooden flipper as a tourist thing for a few dollars. The coins are probably genuine, but not of any specific year or design.

What is the value of a Canadian Cenntinial penny?

To determine the numismatic value of a Canadian cent, one must know the condition and date of the coin. Also needed for Canadian coins is whether it's a coin from circulation, a "Proof-like" uncirculated coin, a Specimen coin, or a Proof coin. To determine the legal tender value, one must know the current exchange rate from Canadian dollars to the currency in question. Without knowing the date and mint markings, there is no way of knowing if you have a rare coin. However, most pennies never really go up much in value.
