Some mattresses but not all have fully organic material. Check the tags of the mattresses to be sure.
Organic crib mattresses are made with only organic materials including organic cotton. They are likely to be kinder to skin and more hypoallergenic than regular crib mattresses.
Organic mattresses are an alternative to the standard mattresses. Natural materials reduce allergies and other allergens present in man-made materials.
Natural or organic mattresses are usually made from non-toxic materials such as wool, latex foam, unbleached cotton, bamboo blend and organic cotton fabrics.
Organic mattresses are made from organic materials such as organic cotton or wool. Some manufactures will claim their wool comes from freeing roaming, happy sheep. Basically organic mattresses are made with natural fibers and not other materials.
You know that all the materials that the mattress is made of are organic and natural. It is better for your respiratory system. It's also hypoallergenic. In addition to the above, organic mattresses help with various allergies and are non-toxic, unlike conventional mattresses that off-gas chemicals.
Organic mattresses are typically made of some combination of organic cotton, wool and natural rubber latex. Organic mattresses avoid the chemicals used to make many conventional mattresses, such as flame retardants like antimony and boric acid (roach killer), formaldehyde, TDI (toluene di-isocyanate), styrene, butadiene, and other petroleum derivatives.

Prices on organic mattresses vary, so while you may find one that is cheaper, you'll almost always have to take a hit on quality. In this case, I would set the criteria you want (size of mattress, materials it's made with, their quality, the process by which it's made, etc), and then from there, do some research into price. If you're going to spend the money and go organic, I'd worry much more about what the mattress is made with. I've put a link below to some organic mattress that might be helpful.
Traditionally, Berbers sleep on mattresses filled with natural materials like wool, cotton, or hay, placed on a bed frame made of wood or iron. In modern times, many Berbers also use traditional mattresses combined with modern bedding materials, such as mattresses made of foam or springs.
I had this question about cot mattresses about a year ago too, theres sooooo many to choose from!!! But after doing some research its actually quite obvious theres a big difference between natural cot mattresses and organic ones. Basically natural cot mattresses arent a bad place to start, they're much better than sprung cot mattresses or those horrible foam cot mattresses...urrghh!!!! Who buys those!?!? But in my opinion the organic cot mattresses are the ones to look for as a 'natural cot mattress' just means the cot mattress is made from natural materials but doesnt mean that those materials are chemical free...so it could still have chemicals in it and have been sprayed with fire proofing chemicals, herbicides, pesticides etc...whereas organic cot mattresses have to have been certified to be called this, and so check they state 'certified organic' somewhere in the info or ask them for certification as they should have this; as it means one of the big independent bodies (soil association etc) has checked the cot mattress materials to make sure all the materials in the cot mattress are chemical free etc and from one of their approved sources. The only one I could find (and the one I bought) is The Little Green Sheep's organic cot mattresses as a friend recommended them to me (www.thelittlegreensheep.co.uk) as she bought her cot bed mattress from them and I must say, it is very very good...well, the little one thinks so anyway...and so therefore so do I! !!!!
