It is not recommended to make an Elf on the Shelf do bad things, as the tradition is intended to encourage good behavior in children during the holiday season. It's important to uphold the spirit of the tradition by focusing on positive and fun ways to engage with the Elf, rather than promoting mischief or negativity.
no
they don't you idiot! they are actually very good for them and you
Moving the elf on the shelf is up to your own discretion and parenting style. Some parents choose to move it as a way to encourage good behavior, while others may not. It's important to create a positive and supportive environment for children to understand the importance of good behavior, with or without the elf's help.
Owls have always been associated with ghosts, Halloween, and horror movies. In history, owls were believed to be bad luck and people tried to avoid them at all costs on the street. In order to fight off the bad luck that came from the sight of an owl, a person would turn their clothes inside out to ward off any negative vibes. i found this on the web. Owls are also associated with wisdom which most people consider a good thing to have. A lot of how you perceive certain creatures could be based in a) your religious beliefs, b) how superstitious you are, c) if you have a fear of that animal, etc. Personally I find owls to be fascinating creatures and not at all bad luck.
