Are German shepherds nasty

All dogs are different. But I'll let you know it is very sterotypical that German shepherds are "mean" or "attack dogs". They were actually bred for herding sheep, so they had to be very gentle and have extroardinary self-control. Pit bulls and such, on the other hand, can be very friendly but ARE bred to attack humans and dogs and fight to the death. Shepherds are meant to be friendly, not vicious, so they make very suitable pets. Most people think shepherds are vicious based on strength, size and appearence. They grow to be around 85 pounds for females and 95 pounds for males, and having alert, upright ears supplies a very wolfish appearence. And you know that most people think wolves are vicious (Thats a whole 'nother story).:)
