No,not usally but they do need to be played with like every other dog.They dont have any special needs with there ears,eyes, or noses.And if you have children you should get one they will put up with anything they will let you dress them up and anything else!

I have one named Daisey and she is an apsalute sweet heart I recamend getting one!
