Yes, Giant Schnauzers can be good with kids (if trained properly). Schnauzers love families, so Giant Schnauzers are naturals with kids.
Giant schnauzers are also very energetic and can accidentally knock small children down when they get the rips and start running with great speed. Giants are best gotten as puppies to be raised with children. That said, they require quite a bit of training. Some have high herding drives and will try to herd children. They do this by nipping but they are only doing what they were bred to do and not being mean. Again they must be trained. Also an adult in the house must be alpha and understand the concept. The alpha person must be firm but gentle. If there is not an alpha in the house hold, the giant will take over and run the house. Do lots of research about giant schnauzers before getting one. Join groups to discuss the breed and meet several if at all possible. They are magnificent dogs but they are not for everyone.
Yes, they are good for people with allergies, but sometimes the dog can get dandruff, so give schnauzers a bath every now and then!
Miniature schnauzers are loyal and protective, but need attention. All miniature schnauzers are different. Some may be quieter than others, that mainly depends on their environment and how they are taken care of. Miniature schnauzer should be walked at least 30 minutes each day. Miniature schnauzers are highly intelligent dogs, but may bark when they are alone for a long time. (separation anxiety) Some miniature schnauzers are quiet and don't bark when they are alone for long periods of time. Miniature schnauzers can be stubborn sometimes. They need a lot of love and attention. Miniature schnauzers are very sweet dogs that are willing to please. With the right amount of exercise, love, and care, miniature schnauzers are awesome sogs. :P :]
No, they dont need very much exercise but they would be ok with alot of exercise but it is not nessacary. they would be good pets for people with large yards or small spaces.
yes, because they don't shed a lot of hair and they love children
Well you have to look at they way they act around your family, and others pets, and they way they listen to you. Pugs and Dachshunds are stubborn, VERY stubborn. Also, they tend to chew on shoes, carpet, and cords, which is very bad. Schnauzers listen and obey. I think Schnauzers are best because they are sturdy and versatile....Also, they are great with any family members, and love to be cuddled. Pugs and dachshunds don't like small children and bond to one person, which means anyone else they will try to bite.
They are great family pets. I have a newfoundland and he is great.
They are good with family.
Yes they are very good family pets i have two of them molly and max
Yes, they are very good cats, especially with kids and other pets.
Schnauzers are a breed of dog that originated in Germany. You may be thinking of a similar looking dog: the Scottish Terrier, which originated in Scotland. These two breeds look a lot alike.
If they are introduced properly (as in not thrown in a cage together, but letting them sniff each other and play around a little bit) they should get along great with smaller dogs, and even other pets (yes, even cats. My Schnauzer Buddy loves Kitty Kitty!!)!!!!
Yes, they cuddle with you and love you MaKayla
