No not as long as they meet the smog emission standards and the safety standards set by the state.
Yes, in Canada, but its illegal to ship them to the US. ^Have to edit YOU ARE WRONG! Nissan Silvia S15s were first produced in 1999, making the oldest one, only 9 years old. In Canada, a vehicle has not been manufactured to meet Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards or is not eligible from the US, is not allowed to be imported into Canada. When the Vehicle becomes 15 years old, Canada does NOT require it to meet CMVSS and is allowed. That is why you see so many Skylines and S13 Silvia. The US has similar laws, except instead of 15 years, it is 25 years.. If you live in the US and want to import a non-conforming car, it has at least 25 years old.. You can get an S15 imported in 2014 at the earliest, when the car becomes 15 years old (Assuming you get a 1999 model) http://www.riv.ca/english/html/how_to_import.html -S12Nismo206
