theres one bolt on the fuel filler neck that you need to unbolt. Its connected to the tank itself. Unbolt that and slide the tank off the neck. you dont need to take the fuel filler tube off. Trust me, i dropped my tank 5 times and its no big deal just to slide it off. (The one bolt you unbolt is connected to a round sleeve that keeps the tank secured to the filler neck.) but make sure that you unbolt the tank from the straps before you slide the tank off..
