Most roads in Jamaica are horrible when compared to roads in developed nations like America. The main roads or A2 highway which runs along the coast line has been improved over the years and taking a ride from the airport in Montego Bay to any major tourist town like Ocho rios or Negril is a better ride than any of the interior roads in Jamaica.
Jamaican roads lack street signs in most areas and there are few if any street lights at night. It gets VERY dark and VERY dangerous driving in Jamaica at night time and in general the driving conditions are more fast paced and aggressive then most are familiar with. It is recommended you leave the driving in Jamaica up to Jamaican drivers.
Not really but there are long twisting roads.
