Yes they are!
William III and Mary II both served at the same time.
James was a catholic who would have repealed some of the penal laws oppressing Irish catholics while Willaim was a protestant. --- edit; William of Orange had a reputation of violence against Catholics in Europe and was recruited by political forces in England to ride in on the coat tail of his wife Mary, to do the same in England and it's territory, Ireland. The subsequent reign was known as that of "William and Mary" because it was only Mary who had any legitimate claim to the throne.
No, Mary Shelley and Mary Wollstonecraft are not the same person. Mary Wollstonecraft was an English writer and philosopher known for her advocacy of women's rights, while Mary Shelley was her daughter and the author of the famous novel "Frankenstein."

The flag was changed to Red-White-Blue in 1795 by the French because those were the same as the colours of the French flag. Before it was Orange-White-Blue, the Prinsenvlag. This flag was invented in 1587 and the colours are based on William of Orange's livery colours.
because he was raised/switched many religions from lutheranism to calvinism to catholicism. Orange also valued politcal peace above religious unity. That would explain his tolerance as a successful leader of the netherlands.
