They are pretty compatible, though you should let them get used to each other by letting them sniff each other first, instead of just putting them together, at BAM second!
I can only speak for how a yorkie and a yorkie-pom get along...and they get along pretty good, but the yorkie-pom is A LOT more aggressive than my yorkie. I do have to say though, if you breed a pom and a yorkie, they make some amazingly cute babies!!!
