Foils doesn't damage the hair. Normally your hair are foiled when you are getting lighteners/bleach applied. The bleach is what will damage your hair, cause breakage and or dry and brittle hair if not tooken care of properly.
Of course! I use foil allll the time with my hair, never affected me. and almost all hair dye has ammonia
The cost of hilights will vary greatly by geographic region. In my experience, nicer places charge between $75 and $150 for two-color full foils on long hair. Highlights from an upscale hair salon costs about $100 in California.
Usually I use foils to isolate the hair and apply the color to the hair being wrapped in the foils. Or, If a client has solid blonde on top and dark on the bottom, for example, I section the top and bottom halves and clip them up out of the way. Then , I color each section seperately.
Either to keep color from other parts of their hair or if bleaching the foils holds in heat for the bleach as it processes.
It can damage your hair, but it depends on how long you leave it in your hair or how much you do. Lemon juice is much safer.
A CHI hair dryer uses ceramic technology that can dry hair up to 40% faster. They also contain far infrared technology which is a lot safer for the environment and also results in a reduction of EMF (Electric Magnetic Fields)
Highlighting hair while pregnant is fine. The product will not touch the scalp since the hair is being wrapped in foils. Just make sure you are in a well ventilated area.
Well if your hair is coming out after redieing you must be dyring it to much or didn't wait the full lenght of time. I recommend using a beer and berry shampoo wash your hair in this for about one or two weeks and it should get thicker and healther.
Absolutely! A good colorist will save you time and do it at the same time (put in foils for highlights and then put the color on the rest of your head :) )
When doing a few foils, in general, salons charge around $5 to $10 per foil.
