Are all death metal bands satanic?
Definitely not. There are tons of Christian Death Metal bands and many death metal bands who have Christians in them. "Death Metal" is a musical genre, not a lyrical genre.
Heaven shall burn is not necessarily "satanic". some of their lyrics might depict certain antichrist like themes, not to mention that their name is pretty satanic sounding. its not like actual satanic bands like pretty much all of that under the Black Metal genre. And certain Death Metal bands like Deicide. No, Heaven Shall Burn is simply a badass melodic death metal band. Actually, no, Heaven Shall Burn is not a "satanic" band. They actually… Read More
Death Metal & Screamoslipknot, cradle of filth, korn <- are all nice hard rock bands (except Filth, which is a fine death metal band). Actually satanic bands include such fine examples Darkthrone, Immortal, Emperor, Gorgoroth, Behemoth, and Tiamat; among many others. Check out the subgenre "black metal" (which is, by definition, satanic). Cradle of Filth, Death Metal? Yeah... I don't think so. Most bands professing to be Satanists do it only for show - there is… Read More
Some of the best death metal bands have been Death, Possessed, Morbid Angel, Carcass and Obituary.
kiss heartbreakers and many others that i dont know ^^ If these bands are Satanist, then I would be afraid of the bands i currently listen to. These bands are probably more Christian than Satanist. Neither of those are true Satanists. Check out the black metal scene, bands like Mayhem etc. Then Marilyn Manson is a Priest of the Church of Satan, although there aren't that many true Satanists outside of black metal. It is… Read More
People have different opinions on whether it is satanic or not, but I don't really think it is. Some of us just like to rock out and turn up the volume. It's a good way to let out your anger and depression. It also depends on the lyrics. Just because they curse and scream doesn't mean it's about Satan and all that stuff. If that's what the lyrics are like in a different song, then… Read More
Not as far as I know, though depending on the band, it can be associated with satanism. Don't worry, not all death metal bands are Satanist!
(Please see discussion before adding to this answer) Unfortunately I can't give you a real answer to this as it all comes down to taste unless you compare bands by record sales so instead, I suggest this should be a list of any (in your opinion) good death metal bands, including fusion and sub-genres such as melodeath, blackened death, and death/doom. Death metal bands Death Melodic death metal bands Dark Tranquility At The Gates Norther… Read More
Basically, out of the thrash metal scene of the mid- to late eighties. Bands like Kreator, Sodom, and most of all, Death, turned thrash metal into a faster, more technical style that became known as death metal (due to the band Death, deemed to be the pioneers of death metal).
Most major cities will have their various scenes. A lot of US Doom Metal bands hail from Maryland and Northern Virginia. Tampa was the epicenter of the US Death Metal scene, although the more famous US Death Metal bands also formed in New York and California. New Orleans is noted for the Sludgecore scene. In a nutshell, they come from all over the country. Even Puerto Rico has produced Metal bands such as Dantesco.
This question can be a bit more ambiguous than you realise. Out of all the band which played Death Metal, Sepultura would be it. However, none of the albums they released during their Death Metal period would be particularly high grossing albums. Out of straightforward, true-to-form Death Metal bands, who haven't deviated away from it, Cannibal Corpse would be the band. As for the so-called Melodeath bands, they're irrelevant.
Not ALL metal bands use pentagrams. With the exception of Norwegian black metal, most bands use the pentagram for shock value. Not ALL metal bands use pentagrams. With the exception of Norwegian black metal, most bands use the pentagram for shock value.
BLACK = Satanic, often with an epic sound and shrieked vocals. Sometimes slightly gothic as well, but always anti-Christian. Roots in the NWOBHM with bands like Venom, followed by bands like Celtic Frost and Bathory. Big Scandinavian scene. THRASH = fast, not particularly melodic, non-singing vocals. Roots in the NWOBHM and earlier with bands such as Motorhead and Diamond Head. Big Four are Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax. Big American and German scenes. DEATH =… Read More
There are many great death metal bands out there, it depends on the type you like. Not all death metal is the same. Some people like Morbid Angel, but I prefer Cannibal Corpse. I would recommend Cannibal Corpse, listen to "Evisceration Plague" or "Priests of Sodom" (songs). A good place to find what death metal bands you like would be to listen to Death FM, an online radio station. The listeners chose what is played… Read More
Absolutely not. Death Metal bands are pretty straightforward with their messages, and all you would hear if you played it backwards is cacophony.
You won't find a list with all heavy metal bands on it. But here is a good start: http://www.metalreview.com/Artists/ Try the Metal Archives. They have 700000 metal bands.
Entombed, Grave, Carnage and Bloodbath all sound like Dismember. These bands are all Swedish death metal and all use a characteristic buzzsaw distortion tone. Other less similar bands are Sacramentum, Runemagic and Unleashed. Less similar still are In Flames and Dissection.
Kitty is a good death metal band, i like them and they are an all girl band!
No They are not satanic they have all cam from catholic schools... That doesnt mean they couldn't be though but yeah they arent it is like a punk band come one! real satanice music is like growly and usually in like danish or something in Europe.... Actually, 'growly' doesn't necessarily mean satanic - are you referring to death metal ect? But in reference to the question, no, Billy Talent are not satanic, and if they… Read More
There are many death metal bands out there, but here is a list of some of the better known ones! Cannibal Corpse, Death, Possesed, Obituary, Six Feet Under, Carcass, Bloodbath, Immolation, Entombed, Decapitated, Unleashed, Tiamat, GoatWhore.
Black metal bands usually do such as Dark Throne, Mayhem and Gorgoroth and Black/Death metal band Behemoth wear face paint as well even after their genre change to death metal. Some folk metal bands wear face paint (or war paint) as well in the case of Turisas. Cyber metal band The Kovenant also wear face paint. It all really depends on what sort of look or ideality the band is going for.
Absolutely not. That false claim was first made in the early 1980s, and it was spread by an evangelist who disliked rock music and believed hard rock and heavy metal bands were satanic. But the reality is that none of the members of Rush are satanic. Although they are not especially religious, all three have respect for their upbringing: Geddy is from a Jewish background, and Alex and Neil are from Protestant backgrounds.
No. Heavy Metal (the genre) are bands such as Iron Maiden, MotorHead, Black Sabbath, and Judas Priest. Sceamo are bands such as Alesana, Escape the Fate, and Black Veil Brides. In a more in-depth answer, Heavy Metal is just generally heavier than screamo both lyric-wise and sound-wise (Considering the heavy metal is an umbrella term ranging from Heavy Metal itself to Death Metal the heaviest of all genres.) Screamo did not come until alot later… Read More
That's all subject to oppinion, but Death, one of the first thrash metal bands, is considered one of the heaviest. That is not right, Meshuggah and Deicide are way heavier.
Doom/ Heavy metal or also known as NOWBHM... bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Iorn Butterfly all started in the late 60's these would be the first bands to play what is now called Metal music...Metal now has lots of genre's Thrash metal late 70's to early 80's Matallica , Venom...Black metal mid 80's also venom and Bathory are the inventers of this style.. What stereotype am i i listen to only death metal deathcore and metalcore i wear a lot of band tees dropdead and Macbeth and i skateboard and wear only black like skinny jeans?
It all depends on what bands you do listen to, and what bands you represent on your T-shirt(s).
If you like All That Remains you will like In Flames.....they are a melodic death metal band from Europe...check out take this life, screams and trigger.
Screamo Bands 1. Black Veil Brides 2. Escape The Fate 3. Bring Me The Horzon 4. Linkin Park (kinda) Thts all I can think of for Screamo edit it if you know any more. Death Metal Bands 1. Okay this is sad. Let me make one thing clear here. Just because your music has screaming in it or something about death does not mean your satanic. THere are going to be satanic people out there who will be satanic, but keep this out of music. It does not really matter because in the end we all love music. No matter what race, religion,or person. So no, Alesana is not satanic.
to me the best metal bands are slipknot, metallica, black sabbath, whitechapel, Marilyn Manson, all that remains, disturbed, bullet for my valentine, killswitch engage, and trivium.!!!!!
british bands, they started heavy metal and all they most influencing bands came from england. exp. the who, beatles, stones
No. Unless a band specifically says they're satanic (I.E. Many Black Metal bands), don't be eager to assume because all you end up doing it making people mad. Even then, most of them aren't seriously Satanic (for example, Aeon writes lyrics concerning satanism but they are not specifically Satanic, merely very anti-Christian.) As for Kamelot, the Albums The Black Halo and Epica were based on Goethe's Faust, a classical theater piece with a similar concept… Read More
I don't know about Carniflex, but I can answer about Anorexia Nervosa. Anorexia Nervosa don't mention Satan, Satanism, etc. in their music. They use Gothic Horror motifs, which are commonly associated with the "dark side" of humanity, which tends to get them lumped with the Satanic bands. Another view: Please don't judge a music band by its name! Sometimes the producers use stupid immoral names to capture the publics attention. The men in the band… Read More
There is technically no prohibition against metal music. However, members of the church may be encouraged to avoid those songs with Satanic or sinful references. Not all Metal music references sin.
I believe it was Metallica.

Yes, girls like heavy metal. Some girls are known as rock groupies. Look up the band Arch Enemy. There are several all-female metal bands - Girlschool (who collaborated with Motorhead), Vixen (the female answer to Bon Jovi), Kittie (nu-metal) and recently Hysterica. A lot of women play metal in bands that aren't all-female, as well. There are also many female metal fans out there.

I don't think that any of them are REALLY Satanic, it's just an image that they promote to appeal to their fans.I very much doubt that any heavy metal bands or singers really worship the Devil or practice the black arts, but they like to create the impression that they do in order to shock the public and to appeal to rebellious youth who wish to do the same- some punk bands in the '70s… Read More
The ones with satanic lyrics are satanic. The rock music style has been widely used in churches in recent decades, with much credit to Graham Kendric. UPDATE: heres a reality check for the above answerer..most bands who play satanic themed music are not satanic at all, it's just a theme. Only a few bands have ever said they are satanic e.g. Deicide, 1 member of Slayer Kerry King Guitarist, (the Bass player/singer Tom Araya is… Read More

No, actually. Contrary to popular belief, Slipknot does NOT worship the devil. The only band member that ever performed any satanic ritual was Chris Fehn when he was a teenager. They just appear to be satanic due to their style of music and controversial songs. They really are a great band. Many, many bands are accused of Satanism due to something known in the media as a "shock factor". Certain bands attempt to grab the… Read More
No, not at all. Trevor actually speaks about how he is trying to emulate the ridiculousness of 80's black and death metal that he used to listen to when he was younger. In a kind of way he says he is slightly making fun of the ridiculous gore lyrics and fantasy in these songs whilst still keeping a shock factor cause that is what he liked about metal when he was growing up. They are… Read More
Is there a band of black metal band that doesn't speak about satanism or misanthropia or holy topics something rude but not as evil as black metal or as holy as the unblack metal?
Well, there is a good amount that deal mainly on Norse mythology, nature or sadness/depression...not all black metal is about satanic/anti-christianty.
Of course NOT! Death metal came about in the 80's, so the oldest death metal fans are probably only in their 40's. And there are plenty of young death metal fans- like me! ...Absolute Rubbish on the age thing. Dude I'm a totally dedicated fan of Extreme Metal, and I'm 51 years old. I'm a vocalist in a band called 1 Foot In the Grave. I've been into Death Metal for over 30 years. How… Read More
