mm... depends on the dragon, for me, how i think as a writer, not all dragons have to be vicious preditors. in my writing some of the dragons look down right evil, but are kind at heart (note: i give my dragons a human like intelligence level)
granted it also depends on the dragons size if you mean fearsom in appearance. yeah a dragon will look fearsome if it is as big as a house, has spikes and everything, and has the wing span of the Empire State Building! but if it is only about the size of your hand it wont look too mean now will it?
(and for those of you out there (I KNOW THEY ARE NOT REAL) so you don't have to post about it.)
Dragons first appeared in literature as early as ancient Mesopotamian myths, with stories of similar creatures appearing in various cultures around the world throughout history. In medieval European literature, dragons began to take on the characteristics we commonly associate with them today, particularly as fearsome creatures to be defeated by heroes.

Dragons were often depicted as living in caves because caves provided them with a dark and secluded environment where they could guard their treasures and remain hidden from humans. In dragon anatomy, the hand of a dragon is typically referred to as a "claw" or "talons." Dragons are often depicted with sharp, curved claws that they use for gripping, climbing, and attacking. These claws are an important feature of a dragon's powerful and fearsome appearance.

Fearsome means frightening
Fearsome is an adjective. It describes a noun or pronoun that causes fear--a fearsome noise.
Komodo dragons, though large and fearsome, face many dangers. One of the main reasons for their declining population is the fact that they live in areas constantly beset by natural disasters such as volcanic activity, earthquakes, floods and tsunamis. Natural disasters diminish numbers of the dragons' prey, leaving them with less food. Illegal poaching of Komodo dragons and their eggs has also resulted in fewer dragons remaining alive, while human encroachment leading to habitat destruction has resulted in less shelter for komodo dragons.
The correct spelling is "fearsome."
