This may be a simple matter of a dirty throttle body. These trucks are dependant upon the use of "top Tier" Gasoline. If you do not use it it usually leads to rough idle and AC problems. There are also issues with PCM programming that will induce the fan clutch to run more at idle an lower RPM.
