On my 94, I6, it was lower right, from the front of the vehicle. There is a wire from the distributor to the sensor. Follow that. On mine, from underneath the vehicle, I removed bolt, slid out sensor and replaced with new one. Long skinny arms will be helpful. Also, watch location of wire and keep it from resting on anything hot.
5w-30 is what I use in my 2000 grand marquis, in 2001 ford started saying 5w-20.
