No. JFK's picture is on the half dollar. The only 90% silver JFK halves were made in 1964. Halves dated 1965 to 1969 are 40% silver. Halves dated 1971 and later are copper-nickel and are only worth face value.
Not counting commemoratives and other coins minted for sale to collectors, the last half dollar minted in solid 90% silver was the 1964 Kennedy Half. 1965 through 1970 Kennedy halves have a copper core and 80% silver outer layers for a net silver weight of 40%.
All Kennedy halves minted from 1965 through 1969 are made of a "sandwich" consisting of outer layers of 80% silver, 20% copper bonded to a core that's 20/80. Overall that gives them a purity of 40%, or about 4.6 grams of silver in an unworn coin.
Please check again and post a new question. JFK halves were first minted in 1964, following the assassination. 1961 halves have Benjamin Franklin's portrait.
1964 was the first year that Kennedy halves were minted, so there aren't any pre-1964 JFK halves. Halves dated 1948-1963 are Franklin halves, and 1916-1947 are Walking Liberty halves. All of these are made of 90% silver so they're worth at least $7 for their silver content alone, possibly much more as collectibles. Please post a new question with the coin's date.
All circulation halves 1971 and later are cupronickel rather than silver and are worth face value if you found it in circulation. All these coins have "S" mint marks and were only sold to collectors, not released for use in circulation.
1964 is such a common date that even uncirculated Kennedy halves don't have any value above the silver content. There were hundreds of millions of them minted, and most people hoarded them because of their fondness for Kennedy. At current silver prices, those coins are worth $10 each.
40 percent silver coins are Kennedy Half dollars minted from 1965 through 1969. 1964 half dollars were 90% silver and coins dated 1971 and after have no silver. The 1970 half dollar was available only in mint sets
