Yes, it has an oil pan. 85-early 87 pans are all the same. mid 87 - 88 pans are different. Timing covers and front engine mount brackets changed when the pans changed as well.
The oil system on all DTs from '94 to current holds 30 Qts (nominal) including the filter. Some engines do have smaller capacity oil pans, but they are front-sump type pans (4x4 applications I think).
