The most common color for traffic cones in the United States is flourescent orange. The color orange was selected becuase it is bright and will stand out easily. Though orange ones are most often used, other bright, easily seen colors are available inlcuding red, pink and yellow. In the UK, a yellow cone with blue and red symbols is used to denote a "no parking" zone.
