Sometimes. depends on what companies. Testing medicial shots on animals would only hurt as much as a needle would hurt on us. because well, Its a needle
Yes, all animals that are tested upon have a central nervous system and in most if not all tests that are done, there is no anesthetic used as it would compromise the results of the tests. Most of the animals being tested on are monkeys, baboons, rats, mice, and rabbits. Pets such as dogs, cats, and hamsters are also used. They acquire domesticated animals through places like Marshall Farms, which breeds beagles and ferrets for pets AND lab animals. Some pounds sell strays to Laboratories.
There have been tests of sensory deprivation where the animal does not have contact with anyone or anything more than a pair of hands through a slit to feed and water the animal. The animals that are part of lab testing are routinely cut open, poisoned, and forced to live in barren steel cages for years.
yes they are because people use stuff on them to test products which may cause sickness, infections or death
rabbits, dogs, cats, mice, rats and many more animals get tested. They do get hurt because if the testing doesn't go right they kill the animal and its very sad.

awild1 adds: yes and if you don't use those products that test or are made of animal parts or on animals period must die that are tested on!
Yes it does. If they need to be tested on instead of humans, then it must be pretty bad.
Possibly. If the medicine being tested is inserted with a syringe, obviously the injection will hurt. The more serious instance is when the thing being tested does not work and has negative effects on the animal such as a disease or something. Or causes a rash, or, obviously if the animal dies from it. So, yes, animal testing can cause pain.
Mostly yes. If the product producer is not sure whether it would be harmful on a human or not they would test it on a rat, pig, or dog. If the product is harmful, yes it hurts the animal. If the product is not harmful, no it does not harm the animal. Most products say somewhere near the ingredients if it was tested on animals or not.
Most of them do, note some don't and some companies don't test on animals at all but mostly the testing is very painful and can result in serous injures that don't ever acquire treatment.
Generally, yes, animals are injured or killed while undergoing animal testing. That is why animal testing is vehemently opposed by many.
For what kind of test?
To test products for us humans. So that what is being tested on the animal doesn't hurt us but hurts them!:(
Its wrong to test animals. I know its for research and it could be benificial to some, but its wrong. They have a right to live as we do. What would you feel if you were that animal being tested on? The test could kill it. Even if it doesn't I'm sure it wouldn't like to be tested on. It could still hurt it, if not kill.
No animal should ever be tested on
what is the average animal tested
Yes.
cats
yes there has to be
Some products in the samples being tested on the animals are harmful and can leave them internally or externally scared for life. Such as some chemicals in makeup or skin care products can burn them or hurt them in many ways that will not hurt humans.
Yes it does. Peta website is a bit over the top but an interesting website to go to for info about animals pain through testing that is done.
Better get tested!
About 2,000 animals have been tested in Toronto.
