Yes, except for the 400 which has an externally balanced flywheel, and dampner.
Answer:All Chevy 350 engines prior to 1986 were internally balanced. In 1986 the 350's changed to a center bolt valve cover, a one piece rear main seal and a different crankshaft. These engines are externally balanced at the flywheel. If you look at the late flywheels you will see a pad of extra metal cast in. The harmonic balancers continued to be neutrally balanced.
Flywheels that require alignment will generally have marks.Flywheels that require alignment will generally have marks.
flywheels are not adjustable
Dodge/ Cummins does not recommend it
Flywheels can be used to store kinetic energy very efficiently. On a power failure energy in the flywheel can be transferred into a generator to quickly restore power.
YES
A flywheel is used in all internal combustion engines.
smaller lighter flywheels allow an engine to rev up faster, less mass to accelerate, a heavier flywheel will give more power at low rpms by smoothing the pause between power strokes
He balanced the State budget, lowered utility rates, reduced the price of automobile tags & reorganized the state highway board.
The mechanical toys can use rubber bands, springs and flywheels to make them work
Small block, and big block use the same flywheel. 400, and 454, are both unique, however, in that they are externaly balanced. 400 will not interchange with any other small, or big block, other then 454. They both use unique harmonic balancers, as well.
