Yes. You might take some literary license and call them "cousins." In the biological classification (taxonomy) living things are organized in a hierarchical or tree-like manner, from the top down starting with cellular organisms with nuclei into a superkingdom containing all animals, then phylum, class, order, family, etc., down until the individual species is described. From this view you might say they share about half the parentage. Beetles and crabs/lobsters are related through their parent classification called a clade - "pancrustacea" which divides down: on one hand you have the crustaceans like crabs and lobsters, on the other, you have the hexapoda including insects with the coleoptera (beetles) further down that branch.
