In 1980 I heard what sounded like a Black Bear one night in the Browning Bridge area of Hoosier National Forest near Houston. (I had previously been around Black Bear in Wisconsin and Minnesota) A few weeks later a friend said that he and his father-in-law had seen a female Black Bear with a large cub in the same area while deer hunting.
