It really depends on who you are, and what kind of book it is. There are some genres that people simply cannot read, and others that can immediately catch your attention. Some books are longer and more detailed, using complicated language, and others are much more simple. If you find books boring, don't give up, and try a variety of genres and authors to find something that you would like.
