not usually
I have a male boxer who gets along with all types of female dogs but doesn't really get along with any male dogs.
I have 5 Boxers and they get along with everyone. My females treat small dogs like they are their puppies. The older small dogs do not like it. But they end up running in the dog park anyways. My older boy loves to play with the big dogs. His best friends have been Pits & Rotties. As long as they do not have the ALPHA syndrome. My other 2 boys play with everyone including cats. I have had stray dogs show up at my house, they are welcome to a game of fetch. From a Bassette hound, mini dober, dashhound, chihuahua, etc.
Certainly NOT, no dog should be put in that situation of fighting and the owner who allows it should be jailed, then after he comes out serve time cleaning in Humane society then pay his fine.
Providing they are brought up around other dogs and were socialized well at a young age then yes, they can be good with other dogs. Any breed can be taught to behave with other dogs providing they are trained that way (I have a super friendly Staffordshire Bull Terrier who loves to go to the field and play with the other dogs). However, if you are buying an adult Boxer then it may be wise to see how it behaves with other dogs before buying it. It would be inaccurate to say that all Boxers are good/bad with other dogs, as it does depend on the individual dog and how it was raised. If you need A Boxer that is good with other dogs then I would advise buying a puppy so that you can socialize it yourself (puppy classes, local dog park etc.).
No they do not. There are many theories for the origin of the name "boxer" for this particular breed of dog but no one seems to know the true origin of the name. My dog ( she is a boxer) actually fights though, but that's only cause we trained her.
It depends. I have had 5 boxer dogs and they were all different. Boxers tend to use their front paws when playing, this could be seen as aggressive to smaller dogs and could maybe hurt them accidentally. My 2 year old female is very bad with all dogs, yet my puppy (male), he is very loving and would never hurt another dog. As long as the dog has the proper training, they should be ok.
yes they are very friendly! i currently own one and they are very good dogs. they are also good around kids and dont bite unless you make them really mad
it depends on the boxer. but typically stay away from smaller dogs. The boxer breed is very territorial and smaller breeds are more curious.
there are no specific breeds that dislike other breeds. It all depends on the individual dog's personality.
yes i had 3 boxers
nope they aren't good around other dogs.
I have 2 Chugs and they are the most friendly dogs in the world, and i have been use to boxers!! Chugs are very loyal and loving , i cannot recommend them enough
boxers are good dogs because they hardly bark and they make good campanions. so are rottwierlers because they cnan be good guard dogs.
Well if you get a puppy you can train the puppy to be a good guard dog. Most boxers are not timid but it depends on the environment they grew up in.
Labrador Retrievers are gentle, family friendly dogs that are good around other animals.
Yes some people see boxers as aggressive dogs but they are actually very playful pets and the doberman are not good dogs for homes with children or other pets especially small pets.
Yes, the breed itself is pretty good with other dogs, but all dogs are different. The best way to assure the fact a canaan dog is good with other dogs is to associate it with other dogs when it is a puppy.
No they aren't the best dog for kids but they are an ok breed! Most dogs are fine for kids.
Yes. They are very loyal. I would not have them around kids though. But they love other animals and especially other dogs. I have 2 :)
Every dog just needs a little training luckily Boxers are very smart dogs some aren't but most are.
According to the American Kennel Club, the best breeds of dogs for children are: labrador retrievers, beagles, bulldogs, newfoundlands, golden retrievesr, wheaten terriers, and boxers.
The Tibetan Terrier is generally good-natured and friendly around other dogs and pets. This breed can, however, become suspicious, timid or reserved around other animals and people if not socialized enough.
