Canned foods don't generally have an "expiration" date. It is usually a "best if used by" date. That would be the time which, under normal storage conditions, the food would be expected to be an acceptable quality. Beyond that date, there may be texture, flavor and color changes that would make the food less than ideal - though not bad.
There's no magic calendar about how long the food can be used. The user has to make that determination.
Check the outside of the cans first. Look for rust, dents, and most importantly, bulges, as this could indicate the presence of botulism. Never, ever , eat anything from a bulging can.If the can is clean and intact , open it and smell the contents. If it smells OK, and there is nothing odd about it, AND it has been kept in a cool dry place, it should be safe . Veg, 6months past exp.date. Coffee , could last up to two years, but may be a bit weak and/or stale, but won't hurt you. Stay away from expired unsweetened milk or cream sauces. Mostly, when in doubt, throw it out.
Absolutely! Unopened, it can be kept up to the expiration date marked on the can.

Usually it's above the can, or below the can. If there isn't any dates after looking at it thoroughly, make a complain.
Do not eat canned foods, only eat foods with one ingredient. apple, beaf, beans...
Not at all...
The acids found in foods, such as citric acid and lactic acid, are safe to eat because they are components of the foods, and the foods are safe to eat.
Yes.
If they weren't safe they wouldn't be permitted to include them
If you are talking about shelf stable canned crab meat, the date on the can is likely the 'best by' date and not an expiration. If the can is unopened, has been stored properly and is not swollen or damaged, it is likely safe to eat, but the palatability of the crab meat will deteriorate over time. The processor will not guarantee the product beyond the recommended 'use by' date.
it depends on if its canned or not. if its canned usually you can. if its bottled or in a bag its good for 2-3 after the experation date.
yes, when it is canned its safe to eat, unless the top is bulging , or there is an outward hiss when opened . The can should suck air in when opened . If not then you should not eat it .
