Yes, they're very high in the purines that bring on an attack. I hated to hear that as much as I hated hearing I can eat very few shrimps as well. They had brought on many an attack before I was diagnosed with gout. There is all sorts of info about this , just Google gout. They have sites with the actual purine count of each food you want to know about. Good luck!
