No they are not. files cannot be stored in the RAM.
A2
Not normally. Files are stored in non-volatile storage such as a hard drive, floppy drive, optical drive or memory stick.
The Ram is used for temporary storage, while the processor is working on data within.
However, whole files may be temporarily stored in the RAM, when moving or copying files.
They aren't, on most operating systems the desktop is just a different location within a users main directory on the main storage drive. Unless you mean desktop as an environment rather than a location?
No, changing your RAM will not affect your files. Your files are stored on your hard drive, which is a separate piece of hardware from the RAM. Once you shut down your system, your files are safely stored on the hard drive, so adding new RAM or replacing old RAM will have no effect on your files.
the text files store in the document files the sound files store in the document files the pictures files store in the document files the video files store in the document files
No, replacing a hard drive will.
ram
You can't store things on ram. Ram is random access memory and is used for multitasking and allows you to open files quicker... The only place files can be stored is on your hard disk
No, as long as you do not replace the hard drive. The hard drive is where all of the operating system files and other files are stored. Memory also called RAM is used only to make the computer faster by storing highly used files on them until the computer is turned off.
Information stored in RAM can be accessed far faster than information stored in ROM. Thus, a computer might store its boot-up instructions in ROM, but store program files in RAM after initial boot-up.
Basically any information that a program need to store to function will be stored into ram at some point if it is too large to fit in the memory on the processor.

In what folder are driver files stored?
in my opinion the icons are stored on the desktop
Because it is volatile, i.e: when the computer looses power, the data will be gone. But, for things like open files, they are stored in the RAM, then when you save them, they get written to a disk of some sort.
