Bears and cougars are hunted and eaten by humans, and they are animals that would prey on cattle.
Bears are stronger than cougars
Because of the location of where cougars live, they are at the top of the food chain and no other animal eats a cougar. Though a bear could probably take down a cougar, bears do not eat, kill, or even bother cougars.
Humans, primarily. Bears and wolves may also attack cougars, but never to hunt and kill them.
