The curly coated retriever is a breed of dog known for its distinctive curly coat. They are skilled hunters and retrievers, originally bred for retrieving shot waterfowl. This breed is known for its intelligence, loyalty, and friendly nature.
the ancestor of this breed was the St.John's Dog, a precursor of the Newfoundland. Brought to the UK by fishermen, it was the start of Curly-coated, Flat-coated(my favourite breed) and Labrador Retrievers.
Retrievers refer to dog breeds that were originally bred to retrieve game. There are six breeds of Retrievers, including:Chesapeake Bay RetrieverCurly-Coated RetrieverFlat-Coated RetrieverGolden RetrieverLabrador RetrieverNova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever
The Labrador Retriever is a breed itself. They come in black, yellow, chocolate and silver which is not a recognized color according to most breed standards. A list of all Retrievers is as follows: Retriever, Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Curly Coated Retriever, Flat Coated Retriever, Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling
Golden Retrievers Labrador Retrievers Beagles Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers
Flat-coated retrievers do not need professional groomong.
No. However, all pure-bred Golden Retrievers have slightly wavy coats ... their coats are neither straight nor curly.
Golden retrievers love children. they are very playful with them.
Flat-Coated Retrievers were first bred for retrieving game (mainly fowl) which had been shot by the owner.
Smart, friendly, gentle, and loving. :)
Yes and No. The main types of large Retrievers are Labradors, Golden, Chesapeake, Portuguese Water, the Flat & Curly Haired, and Newfoundlands. There are some small types, though. Poodles are considered Retrievers, as are some specific types of Spaniels
