Improved: SUre, a Bass Drum, like any drum, is 'tuned'; by that we mean the skin is tightened to make a suitable sound.

BASS DRUMS --no drum, except TIMPANI -- Are not 'tuned'..... to specific pitches.

I know that it is a percussion, and you do have to tighten the strings every know and then.Bass in this case means large because it just has a deeper sound.

Yup. Generally, they are tuned by screwing or unscrewing hex screws attached to tension rods at the bottom of the instrument.

No, cymbals are not tuned. They're a percussion instrument, and they cannot be tuned in any way.
