Assuming your talking about Warhammer 40k, They're a tough army to play against, as well as to play. Each unit must deepstrike, which means terrible things can happen, such as loosing expensive units due to the mishap table, or the units you needed are still in reserve, etc. They have little to no ranged weaponry, so you must get close to them and lock them up in close combat. Also there is a specific army catered to killing daemons and it works very well. Keep in mind The Daemonhunters can ally with any army of the Imperium or Tau/Eldar and they can be used in any game because of the Ally rule in the Daemonhunters codex.
