Dairy Products are actually good for you when you have your periods and specially when you have menstrual cramps. The dairy product you consume actually helps to reduce the pain but it won't happen fast, it relieves you from the pain little by little. What you should do is sit down drink a cold milk, or a yogurt and sit for awhile. It reduces gradually by cooling the inner heat in you body and helps you in getting rid of the pain. So I guess dairy products does work.
