Not necessarily. Figs are pollinated by wasps and some die inside and don't make it out. Although the fig ultimately dissolves the wasp within, there is still a dead female wasp inside and so some vegetarians would consider that eating a dead animal. There is no way to "wash" the insect off the fig.

Figs are usually not carnivorous as they don't seek to eat other insects. They do, however, have the enzyme to digest insects if they wanted to.
